When ozen records
Two modes
Section titled “Two modes”Pick one with the Always / Meetings switch in the panel.
- Always records from the moment you press Start until you pause or stop, including everything said near your Mac.
- Meetings starts by itself when Zoom, Chrome (Google Meet), Teams, Slack, FaceTime or Discord starts using your microphone, and stops 20 seconds after the call ends. No calendar or plugin needed.
An example day. Pick a mode and see when ozen records (red).
Pressing Pause or Start yourself always wins, until the next meeting starts or ends.
What ozen hears

Places
Section titled “Places”Places let ozen behave differently depending on where you are. Open Places… from the panel.
Each place has a name, a spot on the map, a size, and one of three settings:

Inside a place, its setting replaces Always / Meetings. Outside all places, your usual mode applies.
Home and Work are already in the list, waiting for you to set where they are. To place one, either:
- press Use current location while you’re there,
- press Pick on map and click the spot,
- drag its pin on the map, or
- type its latitude and longitude.
